3 Sheeps Brewing Company Enkel Biter Amber Ale Style: Abbey Single with a Bite ABV: 5.0% IBUs: 9.6 OG: 1.053 Description: “Enkel” is the traditional name for an Abbey Single brewed by the Trappist monks beginning in the twelfth century. This was a very low ABV beer that functioned as a safe, flavorful replacement to unsanitary water. We’ve taken that simple Enkel and added some bite. We upped the ABV and threw in some rye malt to spice up the back end, creating an easy-drinking everyday beer. This is a brew worthy to be had after a hard day’s work.
