Lottery for Upland’s Sour Reserve Blend #2 begins on June 7th

A lottery for Upland Brewing Company’s limited release Sour Reserve Blend #2 begins at 12:05am on
Thursday, June 7th and ends at 11:55pm Thursday June 14th. To place yourself in the lottery, go to
sourreserve2.eventbrite.com.

Why are we doing a lottery rather an online reservation, like we’ve done for all our other sour ale releases?
All of our previous sour ale releases have been done by online reservation. There were a set number of
bottles, and it was first come first served. Because the first blend of Sour Reserve was reserved out in
less than two minutes, we decided to change things up.

So how does this work? Every individual will be allowed to enter the lottery once. Entrants will
receive an email on Friday, June 15th indicating whether or not they have won the right to purchase
a bottle. Lottery winners will be able to purchase ONE bottle of Sour Reserve at the location specified
during registration (Bloomington Brew Pub or Indy Tasting Room) between June 20th and July 4th.

How much does it cost? Sour Reserve costs $25 per bottle + TAX. Of course, you only have to worry
about that if you win the lottery.

Other odds and ends: Be sure to bring your ID with you when you pick up your bottle. The name on
your ID needs to match the name on your reservation. You can have a friend pick up your order for
you, but he/she must present a photocopy of your ID.

About the Beer
Our Sour Reserve is inspired by the breweries of Belgium, which for hundreds of years have blended
together different batches of unfruited lambic to make a style known as Gueuze. Inspired by this
tradition, head brewery Caleb Staton has been blending together his favorite batches of our own
lambic-style beer into a single barrel to create a unique combination of flavors and aromas that can
never be replicated.

Blend #2 is a combination of three batches of our lambic style beer from 2008.
