Great Taste of the Midwest 2010

Great Taste of the Midwest is mecca for of
the festival gleefully put it in the week
before the event, it's the most wonderful
time of the year!  Not even near-stifling
heat and humidity could dampen the
excitement at this year's Taste, even
though a lot of shirts were pretty damn
damp.

125 brewers offered their best to more
than 6,000 beer fans.  A change this
year--the three big tents of yore were
replaced with five, in hopes of making
things easier to navigate.  To be honest,
though, the crowds were still pretty thick
and lines long.  Just made it easier to make
friends!

This year's glass was an elegant stein that
allowed for well more than the typical
pour.  It meant people had to take care
they didn't drink too much--a nice
problem to have!

The setting was beautiful, as always.
Madison and Lake Monona never fail to
disappoint.

This was another amazing Great Taste of
the Midwest offered by the folks at the
Madison Homebrewers and Tasters Guild.
No wonder the tickets are snapped up in
HOURS when they go on sale every spring!
Be sure to check their website for updates
and ticket information for the 2011 Great
Taste.  Thanks, MHTG!
