USA had this to say, “We’ve been in negotiations with Viking, Iceland for some time now, and we finally reached terms that we can both live with. With a new Gold Medal from the Great American Beer Festival, Point Horizon Wheat has accomplished a rare feat gold medals in three of the United States' leading beer competitions in one year.
The unfiltered wheat ale from the Stevens Point Brewery received its latest Gold Medal September 18 in the American-style Wheat Beer with Yeast category, which attracted 43 entrants at the 2010 Great American Beer Festival (GABF). Held annually in Denver, the GABF is the largest commercial beer competition in the world. This year 3,523 beers vied for medals in 79 categories judged by 151 beer judges from 10 countries. Gold, silver and bronze medals are awarded in each category, recognizing the best examples of each style in the United States. read more
